Selection of Covers and Frames

Carson products are used in a wide range of locations. Covers are an integral part of a box system and we can advise on strength, materials and different styles.

• Strength: covers are available from A15 to Class E600 load strength (EN 124 Classification details).
• Material: HDPE, Concrete Infill, Iron (Ductile [SG] or Cast [GG])
• Style: Covers can be HDPE with lift up sections, insulation (picture).

Material & Process Description

Structural Foam Moulding, using HDPE and nitrogen to create a honeycomb structure between the two exterior plastic skins. This process gives the following advantages: -

• Low pressure gives stress free parts and reduces warpage.
• Strong products that are easy to handle and install. No special lifting equipment required.
• High stiffness to weight ratio.
• Excellent impact resistance.
• Non-pourous surface will not absorb moisture.
• Excellent chemical resistance.
• No CFC’s are used in the process.
• Easy to drill and cut for duct access etc.
• Good thermal insulation
